My name is Camilla Schwabl and together with my husband, Hannes, we are second-generation managers of the Hotel SONNE. My parents, Inge and Rupert are passionate about tourism and the local area, factors which most certainly rubbed off on me! I love being involved on a daily basis in doing all I can, that you fulfil the wishes of your dream holiday.

After gaining some experience in the tourism industry, I took over the business, full of drive and ambition in 2008. Our daughter, Marie was born in 2007 and our son, Johannes was born in 2010.

In my free time, I love being outdoors and feeling at one with nature. Whether out biking, hiking, jogging, or taking the dogs for a walk – I love being in the fresh air, it’s rejuvenating!

I am always happy to give some great tips to our guests

I am especially dedicated to my role as holiday coach with my specialities being everything to do with herbs and the spa. Let’s get together and do something positive for your health and well-being!

My name is Hannes Schwabl and together with my wife, run the Hotel SONNE which we took over in 2008.

Nature, hunting, observing wildlife – these are my hobbies. Together with the family dog, Django, I can spend hours in the forest -  and have passed the passion on to our guests, as well as my children.

I look forward to regularly informing you about interesting facts about the region, especially topics relating to nature, and keeping you up to date on the theme of “hunting”.

My second passion is wine. As a sommelier, I am very happy to help with advice and action - and I always have the right wine recommendation for every menu!

My very special tip: On a hunting holiday in Saalbach Hinterglemm, we can head outdoors and enjoy nature together.

My name is Ramona, I work at the reception as well as in the reservation and I come from Germany. I have been working at the family & friends hotel DIE SONNE for several seasons, and I am living even longer in this region. For me, Austria means to enjoy nature and tranquillity. I like to go cycling, walking or hiking on one of the numerous hiking trails. Likewise, I am an absolute sun person and enjoy every ray of sunshine and breathing in the fresh air. For me, the most beautiful thing is that you have an unforgettable and relaxing vacation with us and I am always available as a vacation coach as well as for questions.

I am Pascal Veenendaal, hiking guide, activity guide, sauna master and your personal holiday coach.

I have spent the winter six years as a ski instructor in Saalbach Hinterglemm, and now I am looking forward to spending the summer with you in the beautiful Glemmtal Valley.
I'm from the west of Holland, but the mountains, the tranquility and the nature bring me to Austria again and again - because a sportive life in the mountains brings me joy in life.

With an open smile, I greet every guest - whether a regular customer or first-time visitor - with a warmth that immediately conveys the feeling of “welcome home”.

Reception is my favorite place - this is where many people's vacations begin. I love being in the middle of the action. Structure and organization are in my blood, but my real talent lies in empathizing with people, anticipating wishes before they are expressed and maintaining calm and an overview even in hectic moments.

I made Saalbach my adopted home many years ago - quite deliberately. Because here, between mountains, alpine pastures and lakes, I have found what makes my heart beat faster: nature, freedom and an attitude to life that I no longer want to do without. In my free time, I'm always discovering new paths, hidden places and breathtaking panoramas in my hiking boots or on my bike.

Even though I love my home country, my heart beats for the big, wide world. For me, traveling is more than just a change of scenery - it's inspiration, a change of perspective, immersion in cultures, languages and encounters that enrich me.

My name is Julia and I'm 17 years old, I'm from Hinterglemm and I'm currently doing my apprenticeship as a hotel manager here at Hotel Die Sonne. I really enjoy working with people and making their stay as pleasant as possible. Every day is different at the hotel and that's exactly what I love!

My favorite thing is being outdoors in nature. Whether it's skiing in winter, hiking in the mountains or on the soccer pitch with my team, exercise and fresh air are simply part of my job.

I'm looking forward to learning a lot more and finding my place in the hotel industry, with heart, commitment and a lot of joy in what I do!

My name is Vicky and I was born and raised here in Saalbach. I started as an intern at our hotel in the summer of 2020 and have been working here every summer since then. Since the summer of 2023, I have been working at the reception desk all year round and am always there for our guests, ready to fulfil their every wish.

In my free time, I enjoy golfing and skiing, and I also love reading and playing games on my Nintendo Switch.

As a member of TMK Saalbach-Hinterglemm, I play every week in the summer at our summer concerts, alternating between Saalbach and Hinterglemm. In winter, we have our Christmas concert, our annual highlight, on 23 December.
