Green travel
- We are happy to support you in arriving by public transport as well as in the use of public mobility on site in the sense of a positive CO2 balance and a CO2-free vacation in Saalbach.With the Guest Mobility Card, you can enjoy free public transport from your arrival all the way through to your departure.
- Arrival by train: We are happy to pick up our guests from the train station in Zell am See free of charge.
- We offer our guests arriving with an e-car the possibility of four e-charging stations in front of the hotel.
- Free use of the hotel's own ski shuttle in winter.
- Free use of the hiking bus with the Joker Card in summer
Sustainable vacation with sustainable cuisine
- Many of our ingredients come directly from local farmers, with some even organically certified – from fresh vegetables and crisp salads to quality meats, grains, and juices. This way, we support our region and its people.
- Our dishes are prepared with care and gentle cooking methods to keep them wholesome, light, and full of natural goodness.
- We use only non-GMO products in our kitchen, and we work with one trusted main supplier to ensure consistent quality.
- We are AMA-certified, which means that many of our products meet strict quality standards that go far beyond legal requirements, verified through objective testing.
- We are part of "Too good to go". The principle of the app: restaurants and grocery stores offer their leftover food at a lower price instead of throwing it away. This ensures more sustainable business practices for the suppliers and cheaper meals for the customers.
- We serve deer meat from our own hunts. Because game meat from local hunting grounds is subject to strict regulations such as shooting and closed seasons.
- We only serve Fairtrade coffee, because the Fairtrade seal identifies products that have been produced in accordance with social, ecological and economic criteria. Fairtrade is a holistic approach to sustainably improve the livelihoods of small farmers and employees in the global south.
Rooms
- We clean with steam at 100°C. This ensures that no unnecessary water is wasted – only as much as is needed for effective cleaning. It’s a sustainable choice, as no chemically contaminated wastewater ends up in the sewage system and ultimately in the water cycle.
- We exclusively use eco-friendly cleaning products from Hollu. Their hollueco product line allows us to maintain high cleaning standards throughout the hotel while protecting the environment. These cleaning agents are certified multiple times, including with the Austrian Ecolabel and the EU Ecolabel.
- Green Day: We kindly ask our guests to opt out of daily room cleaning during longer stays. This helps us save water, cleaning products, and electricity together.
- There’s also no need to buy travel-sized shampoos or shower gels for a short holiday – we provide practical refillable dispensers in every bathroom.
- Our spa slippers come unpackaged to reduce waste, but of course, you are warmly welcome to bring your own slippers for an even more sustainable stay.

- We only use electricity from renewable energy sources. Approximately 85% comes from hydropower, the rest from other green energy sources.
- Consistent waste separation throughout the hotel

- The effort for a sustainable future is also reflected in the appearance of employee clothing. These are made from high quality and sustainable fabrics.
- Equipping all lamps with energy-saving LEDs
- Magnesium water & glass bottles: For our environment, we have made our house a "BOTTLE FREE ZONE". We use the tap water available on site, treat it with the patented BWT technology and serve you the refreshing BWT Magnesium Mineralized Water. In other words, bottled water no longer has to be transported to us by truck. And in the end, we also create less waste this way, making a significant contribution to reducing our carbon footprint.
