How to find our Hotel DIE SONNE in Saalbach

Coming from Eastern Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary:

West Autobahn (A1) direction Salzburg, take the Wals-Lofer exit, cross the German border, via Bad Reichenhall, Steinpass, continue to Lofer and follow signs for Zell am See. In Maishofen, follow signs for Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Also possible to travel from Salzburg via the Tauern Autobahn (A10) in the direction of Villach. Exit the motorway at the Bishofshofen junction and head in direction of Zell am See on the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B311) to Maishofen and onto Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Cp,omg from Germany and the Benelux States:

Without an Austrian Autobahn-Vignette (motorway toll sticker), you can take the A8 from Munich in the direction of Salzburg and exit in Siegsdorf. From here continue in the direction of Inzell, cross the border into Austria and onto Lofer, Saalfelden, Zell am See. In Maishofen, turn right to Saalbach.

Coming from Italy, Slovenian and Croatia via Villach:

On the Tauern Autobahn, direction Salzburg, exit at the Bischofshofen junction and continue in the direction of Zell am See, in Maishofen, exit toward Saalbach Hinterglemm.

Coming from Italy via the Brenner:

On the Brenner Autobahn (A13), direction Innsbruck, take the exit St. Johann and continue along the Pinzgauer Bundesstrasse (B311), direction Zell am See, to Maishofen and onward to Saalbach Hinterglemm.

We offer our guests arriving with an e-car the possibility of four e-charging stations in front of the hotel. Charging for a fee.

You can reach the nearest station in Zell am See by train. From here you can either take the local bus or a taxi to Hotel DIE SONNE in Saalbach.

Nationwide trains also stop at Zell am See station. Find a bus station directly outside the train station. The Post bs to Saalbach Hinterglemm travels in one or two-hour intervals or, if you prefer, you can take a taxi from the taxi rank in front of the train station of Saalbach.

If travelling by the Postbus, you need to get off at the "Saalbach Steinachbrücke" stop which is across the road from Hotel DIE SONNE in Saalbach. If time allows, we will be happy to pick you up from the train station personally (for a fee).

Your destination airport is Salzburg W. A. Mozart. This airport has the best connection to numerous cities in Europe. There are also many airlines offering reasonably priced fares.

Salzburg Airport is a destination advertised by many airlines. There are many connections to Germany and Great Britain as well as Sweden, the Netherlands, Russia, Ireland, Norway and Poland. The next large airport is Munich. Simply look for the most convenient flight:

Salzburg Airport is approximately 100 kilometres away from Saalbach Hinterglemm. You can book the Holiday Shuttle in advance or directly at the airport. The shuttle will take you comfortably and conveniently from the airport directly to Hotel DIE SONNE. If landing in Munich, you can also take the book the Holiday Shuttle for a reasonable price for the journey of around 300 kilometres.

During winter, many German cities have a weekly coach service to Saalbach taking you from door to door. The journey could hardly be any more convenient.

Hotel DIE SONNE will gladly organise your journey to Saalbach Land by coach. The bus stops are in many of the large German cities. There are also shuttle services offering transportation to the individual stations. You can simply be picked with your luggage from home and make the journey to Saalbach Hinterglemm.

The transport is modern and comfortable and all you have to do is sit back and relax. You don't have to follow any directions. The great advantage of taking the bus is favourable pricing compared to driving with your own car. This service is offered by established coach companies.
